Family Mini Sessions in Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes, Hermosa Beach & the South Bay

It’s holiday mini season! The Boho House is offering 2026 Holiday Mini Sessions at some of my favorite locations throughout Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes, Hermosa Beach and the South Bay.

I’m Trish Olivera, owner and photographer at The Boho House. I specialize in natural, light-filled family photography with a relaxed approach that lets kids move, play and be themselves. My goal is to make family photos feel easy while creating beautiful, connected images you'll love for your holiday cards and beyond.

This year's holiday sessions include beach, greenery and classic South Bay locations, with both 15-minute Mini Sessions and 30-minute Petite Sessions available.

Holiday Mini Session FAQ

Which session should I choose — 15 or 30 minutes?
The 15-minute Mini Session is perfect for families looking for a quick, fun update and beautiful images for holiday cards. After your session, you'll receive an online gallery of approximately 20 edited images and you'll choose your 5 favorites to download. If you'd like more time, more variety and all of the edited images from your session, choose the 30-minute Petite Session, which includes your full edited gallery of 40+ images.

What should we wear?
Choose coordinating colors rather than matching outfits, and stick with soft, neutral or earthy tones that photograph beautifully with my light and natural style. Once you're booked, I'm always happy to help with wardrobe questions!

What if my kids don't cooperate?
Please don't worry! Kids don't need to sit perfectly and smile at the camera the entire time. I keep sessions moving, playful and relaxed and love capturing the laughter, movement and little in-between moments along with the classic family portraits.

What happens if it rains?
If rain prevents us from photographing, your session will be rescheduled to a new date. Cloudy days are completely fine and can photograph beautifully!

When will we receive our photos?
Your edited online gallery will be delivered within one week of your session — plenty of time to choose your favorites and get those holiday cards ordered!

How many images will I receive?
15-minute Mini Sessions include 5 edited digital images of your choice from your online gallery, with the option to purchase additional images or upgrade to the full gallery. 30-minute Petite Sessions include your full edited gallery of 40+ images.

Can I bring grandparents or extended family?
Absolutely! Holiday Mini Sessions are priced for immediate family. Additional family members are welcome for $25 per person. If you're planning to include grandparents or extended family, please let me know before booking so I can make sure the session you choose is a good fit for your group.

Can we bring our dog?
Yes, at select locations! Some locations are not dog-friendly, so please check with me before booking if you'd like to include your pup. For 15-minute Mini Sessions, please bring a dedicated person who can hold your dog and easily bring them in and out of photos. With such a short session, this helps us make the most of every minute.

Can I cancel or change my session?
Holiday Mini Sessions are limited and your date and time are reserved especially for you. Sessions are non-refundable, so please double-check your family's schedule before booking.

How do I choose a location?
Each location has a completely different feel! Scroll through the sample galleries above to find the look you love most — from beach and coastal settings to greenery, architecture, pampas grass and classic Christmas trees.

Please note that Rat Beach requires a steep walk down to the beach and back up after your session, so it may not be the best choice for anyone with mobility concerns or families who will need to carry little ones. If you're unsure which location is the best fit for your family, just ask!

What if the date or time I want isn't available?
If a date or time no longer appears on the booking calendar, it has been booked. Holiday sessions are limited, so I recommend reserving your favorite location and time as soon as you're ready.

Choose from beautiful beach, coastal, greenery, and classic holiday settings in Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes, Hermosa Beach and the surrounding South Bay.
